Rooney Named Barclays Player of the Season

When you rattle the barrel, the cream rises to the top.

Wayne Rooney has won another major award this year, being named the Barclays Premier League Player of the Season.  The award is given by the Barclays panel which includes the representatives from the league's sponsor, media reps and fans as well.
Wazza also won the FA's most prestigious gong for the year and I find these two awards an interesting twist to the events of the year.
Dogface of C-Club won the English Golden Boot, scoring 29 goals this season (to Rooney's 26), although his final three goals were scored against a 10-man Wigan side who had given up when their man was sent off in the 29th.  And of course one would have to take away the offside goal he scored at Old Trafford...so maybe the panel thought he should have only scored 25.  :)
Even so...titles mean alot to award chances and with his "club" cheating their way to the title, one would think that their prolific goalscorer would be named as the best player.  But both awards went to Rooney.  Maybe the PFA (Football Players' Association) which is comprised of all players in England, and the Barclays panel were signalling their silent support for United, who were one point short of the title despite being decimated by injuries most of the year.  I've always said that it is infinitely more important what people DON'T say than what they do.  C-Club is NOT a likable side, and is filled with players who make more headlines for being immoral prats off the field than their on-pitch exploits.
I don't have a pic of Rooney receiving the award, but I do have a precious photo of the ADORABLE Kai Rooney with his "Daddy" kit on after the final match last Sunday.  If little Kai follows in daddy's footsteps, this photo could become part of a media package twenty years from now!

"Yep, my daddy is the best player in England!"

And just for fun, let's add a few more United petite bebes:
